After Monet – A 3-ply Fractal Yarn

The October yarn is done. Inspired by Monet’s great fall season painting Autumn Effect at Argenteuil, 1873, this was a very satisfying project. The colors of madder and indigo lent themselves, perfectly, to the solution of the problem: How to portray Autumn in a skein of naturally dyed yarn. 3-ply yarns take quite a bit of time, but I love the result.
